SSC Ultimate Aero: Fastest CarIn The World

SSC Ultimate Aero: Fastest CarIn The WorldTo be known as the company with the fastest car in the world is probably most car manufacturer’s dream. Of course, with the likes of supercars such as the Pagani Zonda, Bugatti Veyron or Koenigsegg, it’s not so easy to take that position, but some companies still strive to do so.

Until recently, the fastest car in the world was the Koenigsegg CCX at 254.55 mph (409.71 kmh), but engineers at Shelby soon changed that — just. At 257.11 mph (413.82 kmh), the SSC Ultimate Aero is now officially the fastest car in the world. According to Sport Auto, Dewetron is the company that tests the cars.

Dewetron, a company known for performance testing of missile, train, aerospace, and automotive capabilities will accurately monitor and measure the speed of the Ultimate Aero for the record run. Dewetron’s equipment is so precise that Guinness World Records approved their systems as a replacement for the standard 1,000m laser traps. Dewetron utilizes 4-12 satellites and numerous onboard sensors to track a vehicle’s speed.

But even that might change with the appearance of the Bugatti Veyron 2 getting closer and closer.
