1979 BMW M1 On eBay
BMW is one of the world’s leading car manufacturers, but for those of you who want to own one of the manufacturer’s least available models, a 1979 BMW M1 is being sold on eBay.
The starting bid is $135,000 and the Buy it Now price is $178,750.00 so if have been searching for this car for a long time than don’t waste a time. For those of you who is still making a decision then you have to know that only 455 M1′s were produced during the 1978 and 1981.
According to Autoblog it’s not the stock version and has been tuned.
Modified by German tuner, Styling Garage, it features the Procar flared fenders and spoiler, increased power output, and custom BBS wheels. According to an article on SpeedBrigade.com, the Styling Garage M1 appeared at the Palm Beach Supercar Weekend back in 2006, where it was then up for sale by the Motorcar Gallery. Now it is listed with Driver Source in Texas.
For collectors this rare M1 would be a nice addition. The hood hides a 3.5 V6 liter engine and the transmission is 5 speed manual. Although I think no one would buy it for its specifications, as a limited edition and for the year it was produced, it is quite enticing.
