2008 Toyota RAV4
One of the best trucks of 2008 is considered to be the 2008 Toyota RAV4. It belongs to the compact SUV segment of the market and is in its the third generation. In 2006, the RAV4 was completely redesigned and since then Toyota has kept improving it.
One of the most noticeable improvements in the RAV4 is the higher wheel-base and the overall vehicle length which is two feet longer compared with its predecessors. This means more seats and an overall larger space. Although the RAV4 is one of the best-selling SUV’s in the world, making it longer also means making it acceptable for U.S. market as well.
Toyota Offers three versions of RAV4: Basic, Sport and Luxurious. MSN Autos describes the differences.
The Base trim includes 17-inch wheels, air conditioning and a CD stereo, but is shut out of many upscale options such as a sunroof, upgraded JBL sound system and color-keyed exterior. The Sport has more option boxes to check and includes an exclusive sport suspension and aggressive 18-inch wheels with performance tires. The Limited provides more standard-issue goods and more luxury options, such as leather seats, a wireless-headphone DVD system and seat heaters.
The RV4 comes in 2WD or 4WD options, but Toyota plans to sell moreof the latter which is logical as when buying a SUV that’s one of the first features people look for when it comes to off-road capabilities.
Autonews Garage reports about various driving systems.
The RAV4 V6 does not disappoint. In addition to all-wheel drive feature, there are ABS with electronic brake distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), control vehicle stability (VSC) to assist with the Steering Committee, traction control (TRC ), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) Assist and control of descent (DAC).
Add to this a very affordable price of around $21-30,000 and Toyota have nothing to worry about.
