New York Auto Show: Porsche Boxter RS60 Spyder
For the Germans, Porsche is like Ferrari for the Italians. Both are car manufacturers without which the auto industry would not be complete.
One of the models that helped Porsche to find success is its Boxter and especially the Type 718 RS60 which was one of first in the series, winning races in the 1960s. Today that model is getting a new life with modern exterior but with proud memories. It’s called the Boxter RS60 Spyder and Porsche will produce only 1,960.
The Boxter RS60 Spider will debut at New York Auto Show this month. In Europe the car costs $79,500, and in U.S $64,900 if you manage to find one. There are options for different interiors, and according to Edmunds the exterior is pretty satisfying.
Hardware upgrades include 19-inch Porsche SportDesign alloy wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management and a modified sport exhaust system with dual tailpipes that bumps output to 303 horsepower.
