2009 Volkswagen Jetta Sportswagen

2009 Volkswagen Jetta SportswagenRecently we’ve written about the Volkswagen Jetta and now the all new 2009 VWagen Jetta Sportwagen is being test driven by different magazines.

The Jetta is the best selling Volkswagen in U.S. and elsewhere, and it’s not hard to see why. Offering comfort, good handling, top safety and a luxury interior unlike to any other car in the series, the entire package comes at an affordable price.

The all new 2009 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen includes all these features as well as more space than all previous models in a truly mid-size family vehicle. Like every other German manufacturer VWagen offers a supportive electronic package as well.

The guys at Autoblog have tested this car and share their impressions.

On the road, the Sportwagen is a bit of a dichotomy. The chassis clearly outclasses the standard five-cylinder engine. The suspension is well-articulated and seems to do a decent job of absorbing the road contours, although the worst pavement in rural southern Virginia still outclasses the best in Michigan by a pretty wide margin. Once I get to sample the Jetta on my home turf, I’ll give a better evaluation of its ride. Going through the curves, the Sportwagen felt more like a GTI than a Country Squire which is always a good thing.

There is no word about the price yet, but it will possibly be around $20,000 so it seems that like its predecessors, the 2009 model will continue with its success worldwide. Check out the video below demonstrating the 2009 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen.
