Visit A Vintage Motorcycles Museum
Vintage Motos Museum is located in a warehouse in the downtown Denver district. Vintage motorcycles of all types and styles are to be found here. This is motorcycle heaven for motorcycle enthusiasts, not vintage cars enthusiasts. Walking into a room that is a sea of motorcycles is like an assault on the senses, which one is completely unprepared. I came across this place quite by accident while trying to locate another business address in the area. Heart palpitations were in order when I walked into a room with 200 vintage motorcycles on display!
Jim Dillard and his son James share this collection of vintage motorcycles, which is an obsession, with us. I wonder if enthusiasts also obsess about, vintage cars in the same manner. I could have spent a whole day in this densely populated area. Shocked but excited to discover that I was the only visitor at the time, made it simpler for me to navigate my way around the narrow aisles. Beautifully restored 1963 Parilla Wildcat Scrambler and Ducati TV 125 were the first to catch my eye.
The focus is clearly on Italian vintage motorcycles. From 1940 to 1980 is the period of history and evolving of Italian motorcycles. Covering four decades of motorcycles, I have never seen. Ferrari, Gana, Fiorelli, just a few names to mention. There are so few of these brands actually in existence. Many beautifully restored and some logos that have faded, making them difficult to read. This museum is not exclusive to Italian brands and does carry a few BMW’s, Adlers and some Japanese motorcycles. This place is a feast for any motorcycle enthusiast and well worth a visit.
