Rolls-Royce Plans 10 Percent More Phantoms In 2008

Rolls Royce Plans 10 Percent More Phantoms In 2008The Rolls-Royce Phantom 2007 is a 4-door luxury sedan equipped with a standard 6.75-liter, V12, 453-horsepower engine. At first, the Rolls-Royce Phantom was produced by the Rolls-Royce Motor Corp., but now belongs to BMW which has produced the luxury car since 2003.

As autoblog reports, production in 2007 was up 25 percent over 2006 figures to 1,000 units, and RR executives see another 10 percent growth likely for 2008. One of the countries where the demand of Rolls-Royce is increasing is China where 100 cars are expected to be sold by year’s end.

The demand for the new Rolls Royce Phantom is so high that they have already pre-sold the number currently being built. The main competitor for the Rolls-Royce Phantom is the Maybach by Mercedes-Benz. However, the Maybach is not close to the Phantom’s success.

Rolls-Royce announced that they will be releasing a new four seat two door Phantom coupe, which will sell for about $484,000. The car will have a 6.75 litre V12 engine.
