2008 Bentley Brooklands At Geneva Motor Show

2008 Bentley Brooklands At Geneva Motor ShowWhen it comes to luxury cars the first models that spring to mind are the Maybach, Rolls-Royce and Bentley. However, of the three manufacturers, Bentley can be separated from the Maybach and Rolls-Royce as these two sell only 500-1000 cars each year while Bentley sell several thousands.

Moreover, there is only one Maybach model from Mercedes and Rolls-Royce from BMW while Bentley offered several. At this year’s Geneva motor show, the company will also debut the 2008 Bentley Brooklands, named in honor of the runway in England where Bentley was named winner in 1920.

Although it keeps the same royal style as its predecessors it has something new under the hood in the shape of a 6.75 liter V8 engine with 530hp. This is the most powerful engine Bentley has ever produced, managing 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds. Top speed is 215km/h. Basically, the Brooklands is a really stylish car.

According to leftlanenews Bentley plans to produce only 550 Brooklands, so it’s almost a special edition. No doubt that is reflected in the price of $600,000. For many Bentley enthusiasts with a little over half a million dollars to burn, the price will undoubtedly not be a problem.
