Recharge Your Electric Car Free In London

Recharge Your Electric Car Free In LondonIt’s hard to find something worthwhile for free these days, but owners of electric cars in London will already know that the English capital already has 20 free recharging stations for electric vehicles. Moreover, owners of electric cars can park for free as well. Sounds good, right?

According to Kicking Tires there only three electric cars on sale in UK, and the most popular is an Indian-made Reva G-Wiz although it’s not even officially qualify as a car.

Parking in central London can be up to $50 a day. In addition, electric vehicles are exempt from London’s $16-per-day congestion charge. So that’s $66 per day saved before we even factor in gas at $7 a gallon. You don’t even take a hit on your electricity bill if you do all your charging in the city!

In the not so distant future, I’m sure electric cars will replace vehicles working with gasoline and contribute to the reduction of pollution in urban centers. Therefore, these kind of stations are a good way to promote and encourage ownership. Anyway, it would appear that we’re slowly moving closer to a better environment.
