New York Auto Show: BMW CS Concept Unveiled

New York Auto Show: BMW CS Concept UnveiledAt the Shanghai Auto Show last year, BMW presented its new Concept CS. Just one glance was enough to understand that it was not just another concept by the famous German car manufacturer. That was borne out when it became known that the CS will be placed even higher than the 7 series.

What is surprising about this model, however, is that it is a combination of luxury and sport. Indeed, BMW says they are attempting to compete with such vehicles as Mercedes-Benz CLS, Aston Martin Rapid and the new Porsche Panamera. Now that BMW has unveiled the CS concept at the New York Auto Show, more information on the car is available on the Internet.

Edmunds Inside Line quotes BMW design chief Adrian van Hooydonk.

BMW design chief Adrian van Hooydonk called the concept “a step forward from today’s look” and commented, “We wanted to do a big, sporty car without making it appear heavy.” The sleek and low car is sizeable at approximately 201 inches long, 78 inches wide and 53.5 inches high on a 120-inch wheelbase.

This is not all the information available as we might also be expecting a M version with a 6 liter, V12 engine. Enjoy the video.
