Land Rover LRX: More News

Land Rover LRX: More NewsA few days ago we wrote about the Land Rover LRX Concept that will be shown at the Detroit Autoshow. As one of the most anticipated concepts to be shown, we’re excited to discover that more details of the Land Rover LRX are now known.

The interior features a combination of soft leathers and dark chocolate, and an electronic display uses “floating” LCD graphics to create a three-dimensional look. The display in the Land Rover LRX can be personalized for different drivers and for interacting with the LRX’s touch-screen display.

The Land Rover LRX concept also seems to be more orientated towards on-road rather than off-road use judging from its more car-like appearance. More details have been posted by Auto Shows, Auto Reviews.

. Full-time all-wheel drive with Hill Descent Control.
. Uncovered aluminum (no wood trim) as part of the seat structure and dash.
. 2+2 seats are attached to the center-tunnel console, split into three piece when folded forward.
. Polycarbonate side window, large sunroof are 40 percent lighter than glass.
. Leather seats and trim are vegetable-tanned, chromium-free.
. Headliner and vanilla “suede” door inserts are made of recycled glass bottles.
. Concept built on LR2 platform; it’s 171.3-inches long, 78.7-inches wide on a 104.3-inch wheelbase and just 61-inches tall.

So far there has been no word on what is powering this stunning concept, so all we can do is wait for the LXR debut in Detroit where we hope Land Rover will finally reveal more.
