Geneva 2008: Rinspeed sQuba Concept

The Geneva Motor Show 2008 has already opened and is full of extraordinary models, but the model for show presented by Rinspeed is another story. If other manufacturers are showing cars that are super fast or have an usual design, then the sQuba concept has abilities that none of the others can match.

Even just one glance at this car is enough to recognize that it’s the famous Lotus Elise redesigned. However, what is so special about the sQuba, as the name might suggest, is the fact that you can drive it in three environments. The first one is on land, the second is on water — yes on water! — but the third is even more exciting. It can also submerge.

Vox is as excited as we are.

This car is amazing in other ways, too, however. It’s a zero-emission electric car that can do as high as 77 mph on the highway, which is in itself unusual. It also utilizes nano-technology, being constructed from carbon nano-tubes making it much lighter than other cars its size without sacrificing strength in the materials.
