Detroit 2008: Hyundai Genesis
Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has unveiled its flagship model at the 2008 Detroit Motor Show. It was shown as a concept at another show held in New York. Hyundai hopes the Genesis will succesfully compete against the likes of the Mercedes E-Class, Infiniti M, and Lexus GS.The top of the range Genesis will be powered by 4.6 liter 375hp V8 engine. Two options for transmission will be offered.
According eGMCarTech, the Genesis will include features like electronic active front head restraints, electronic Stability Control, heated / cooled seats, adaptive HID headlamps, push-button start, navigation with backup camera, standard Bluetooth technology, iPod/USB auxiliary inputs, HD Radio receiver, XM Satellite Radio with NavTraffic, Lexicon Discrete Surround Audio Systems, and rain-sensing wipers.
The Hyundai Genesis will be available in the U.S. this year priced at $30,000. Reports indicate that it can achieve 0-100km/h in six seconds. Considering its next-generation specification, the Hyundai Genesis seems quite interesting.
