Beijing 2008: Buick Invicta Concept

Beijing 2008: Buick Invicta ConceptBuick is not one of the more well-known car manufacturers, especially outside of the U.S., and there are probably many people who have never heard of it. The company is currently owned by General Motors and presented its Buick Invicta concept at the Beijing 2008 auto show.

The previous Buick Invicta was shown for the first time in 1959, but GM’s unveiling of the new generation of Invicta means that the it is hoping that the production model will take a respectful share of the market. It certainly looks promising in terms of its exterior and the combination of sport and classic looks.

It’s also obvious that the Invicta sedan features good aerodynamics. According to AutoBlog it has a turbocharged, direct-inject four-cylinder engine producing 250 horsepower and 220 pound-feet of torque, which is hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission.

While it’s still a concept, its probable that GM will announce a production model in the near future. Enjoy the video.
