Jeremy Clarkson: Bugatti Veyron At 186 mph?
When speaking about TV motor shows then Top Gear is among the most popular and that’s mainly because of Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Richard Hammond and of course, The Stig. The way they prepare their shows is pretty unique and probably only Fifth Gear might come close.
On the other hand it seems that they are using their fame in order to do things which are illegal. During a recent interview, for example, Jeremy Clarkson was asked “how fast has he ever driven?” and Clarkson’s honest answer was 186mph while driving a Bugatti Veyron on public roads.
This admission made public safety activists to strongly judge Clarkson. Here’s what Autoblog reports.
Mary Williams of Brake called the TV star “offensive and irresponsible,” and said that the BBC should fire him.
However, if the BBC fires Clarkson then Top Gear will lose the much its charm and many fans won’t be happy. This isn’t the first time that Clarkson has broken the law, though. Here’s what Digital Spy reports.
The BBC has come under fire after presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May flouted the smoking ban on an episode of Top Gear, causing anti-smoking campaigners to complain.
[...]Campaigners asked the BBC to apologise for the programme segment, but the corporation claimed that it had not broken the law because the presenters were not smoking tobacco. But it was left embarrassed when it was later informed that it was still illegal to light up anything for smoking purposes in a work environment
