Volvo To Recall 82,000 S40 And V50 models

Volvo To Recall 82,000 S40 And V50 models Recalling vehicles is not helping automobile companies keep their credibility with customers, and some of the numbers of cars affected is fast becoming staggering.

Volvo, for example, is recalling 82,000.The recall includes the petrol S40 and V50 models made from 2004 to 2006. Autoblog reports that the reason is corrosion that might affect on engine.

The issue stems from fuel pump electronics being exposed to rain, snow and road salt leading to their degradation. If excessive rust occurs it can lead to fuel starvation of the engine and thus, stalling.

I’m wondering why Volvo trying to fix this issue so late. I mean four years have passed and it’s amazing that some owners might have been driving their cars for four years without knowing that their vehicles were at risk.
